Baroness D'Souza
Convenor of the Crossbench Peers
Frances D’Souza was raised to the peerage in 2004.
In the House of Lords, she has been the Convenor of the Crossbench Peers since 2007. She has also been a Member of several Lords Select Committees, including those on Procedure, Selection, Liaison, Administration and Works, Privileges, and House. She was also a Co-opted member of the European Union Sub-committee F (Home Affairs) from 2006-07.
She has been an office holder in several All Party Parliamentary Groups, including The Opera Group, the British Council Group, the Afghanistan Group, the Africa Group, and the Urban Regeneration, Sport and Culture Group.
Her political interests include Human Rights and Development, and countries of interest include Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Iran, Middle East, Nepal, the Nordic countries, South Africa, Laos, China, Vietnam, and North Korea.
